C/C++ developer Back-Office

Financial institutions are boring. Working in the ICT department of such an institution is extremely boring. Except for one relatively young bank, that developed its own trading and banking platform, which is accessible by Internet 24 hours out of 24, 7 days a week, and runs on Open Source products wherever feasible.

Keytrade Bank is that bank, and we are looking for an experienced application engineer. You will work in our main office in Brussels as a member of our dynamic team of application developers and web designers. Your work will focus on back- office banking applications. You prefer to work in a self- guided fashion with end- to- end responsibility, without losing openness to interaction with team members. Your mind is capable of seeing beyond a .NET doctrine, without becoming a mumbling guru, knows that COBOL is a piece of antique, and realizes that for software that really kicks ass, Java is not an option. You are not afraid of strong options, neither from yourself or from your colleagues.

Are you that (wo)man?

Requirements:

  • Strong track in C/C++ analysis and development, on Windows and/or Linux/FreeBSD platforms
  • Proficient in two of the following languages: English, Dutch and French
  • Clean certificate of good behavior

Assets:

  • Understanding of retail banking and knowledge of back- office systems
  • Experience with the PowerBuilder development platform
  • Academic level of education
  • Affinity with Open Source Software
